All is set for the release of the much-anticipated results as WAEC confirms the new 2026 BECE result release date. The new date for the release of the result is Monday, July 20th, 2026, according to the West African Examination Council's Public Relations Officer, Mr. John Kapi. Mr. Kapi disclosed the new date after WAEC failed to release the results on 15th July as announced earlier.
He disclosed the new date during the 2026 colloquium organized by the Methodist Church of Ghana.
Ahead of the release of the results, WAEC has already released the result checker cards for sale to all wholesalers of the council's vouchers.

In a related development, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed that students who completed Junior High School will report to school as first-year SHS students on September 18th, 2026, to begin their second cycle education. Ahead of that, they will select schools from July 20th to August 7. However, the Ministry of Education is yet to release an official date on which the school placements will be released after school selections have ended on 7th August. Candidates are expected to select 8 schools in all during the school selection phase of the BECE.
